About B Meyer Bookkeeping Solutions, LLC
Martin G. Meyer
Martin enlisted in the Army in 1971 and was honorably discharged in August of 1974. While in the service Martin attended the Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia and was assigned to the 1/509 Company a, Airborne Combat Infantry Battalion in Germany and Italy. Upon leaving the service Martin was employed in the scrap metal industry until 1980. In 1980, Martin attended the electrical apprenticeship program with Local Union 716, earned his journeyman status. Martin later went on to attain three master electrical licensees.
In 1985 Martin returned to the scrap metal business and started his own scrap metal business in 1992 MGM Metal Recyclers. Martin sold his scrap metal business in 1999 and returned to college to update his accounting and business management knowledge. Martin is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and a Certified Public Bookkeeper, both requiring continuing education requirements.
Martin started B Meyer Bookkeeping Solutions in 2005 and has continued to grow his practice starting out with just bookkeeping services, then adding payroll services and soon to add income tax services.
Barbara Meyer
Barbara graduated with a BBA from the University of Houston majoring in accounting. She worked for General Homes Corporation upon graduation 23 years until they sold out to KB Home. While working at General Homes she moved up from a junior accountant to a senior accounting manager.
Barbara was retained by KB Home as the senior accounting manager. Barbara later joined Sunrise Colony, Inc as a senior accountant and worked with them for 5 years until the Royal Oaks County Club project was winding down. Barbara then joined Remington Mortgage Company as company controller until the company closed down in 2009. Barbara then joined her husband Martin as a part of B Meyer Bookkeeping Solutions.
